Boxycharm is a highly coveted beauty subscription box that was, until today, only available in the US. Now, Canadians can subscribe to receive a monthly box of makeup and skincare items whose retail value usually far surpasses the monthly cost of the box.
Thanks to hugely popular Boxycharm unboxing videos (I like these ones by KathleenLights), it’s easy to see that boxes come with a great selection of deluxe sample and full size products. Last month’s box came with an unreleased Makeup Geek blush!

I used to subscribe to ipsy, but cancelled after a few months (and a lot of hassle). With the exchange and shipping I was paying about $20 CAD each month to basically hoard samples and cheap makeup bags.
I subscribed to Luxe Box for a year (boxes are shipped quarterly), which delivered an amazing array of well known brands and brands to discover for $26 CAD per box. The actual box everything came in was so high quality—I still use them to store extra toiletries. I loved that you could also upgrade and customize each box. Last winter I upgraded my box to a special Benefit sampler—what a score. I knew I was going to be getting products that would be integrated into my daily routine. Still using that Gimme Brow!!
I’m going to think on Boxycharm before subscribing. Prepaying for 3 months is $59 USD (plus $15 USD for shipping—ouch). That’s about $97 CAD for three months, or $32ish per month. That doesn’t include any applicable duties or taxes, and it’s too early for any Canadian to know what to expect there. Subscriptions automatically renew, and there are no refunds or mid-term cancelations on pre-paid subscriptions.
Single boxes with shipping are $26 USD ($34ish CAD).
What do you think? Will you subscribe to Boxycharm?
