This Beauty Questions tag made the rounds through the beauty blogs a couple of years ago. I thought I would recycle the questions as a way to tell you a little bit more about myself!
Before I jump into catching you up on my July life, I thought I’d happily inform you of this exciting upcoming release from BITE Beauty. I’m a long time fan of BITE’s fantastic lip products — they’re creamy, pigmented, and long-lasting. Their Amuse Bouche line features an extensive shade range that include classic nudes, reds, and berries, but also unexpected shades like forest green, grey-lavender, and navy blue.
It should come as no surprise, then, that I can’t wait for the release of their Multisticks. Multisticks feature a cream-to-powder matte formula and come in 18 shades (see Beautezine for amazing swatches of the full line). I’m a sucker for monochromatic makeup looks, and I know I’ll have trouble choosing just one.
BITE Beauty Multisticks will be available from Sephora on August 19th and will retail for $28 CAD.
On a personal note, family and work commitments kept me in a state of sheer joy and exhaustion for basically all of July, with my brother and his family visiting from the Middle East, running a 5-day festival at work, and taking a road trip to Chicago for a mini family reunion. As soon as I had time to myself, I was battling an eye infection and consequently spent more time getting a consultation for laser eye surgery. I’m going in for surgery this week and the thought of opening my eyes and being able to see without contacts or glasses fills me with a euphoria I’ve never known before (NOT EVEN EXAGGERATING).
Until next time!
Two exciting news items this week!
MAC Cosmetics has joined Ebates.ca, offering 3% cash back. This news was actually more exciting yesterday, when it appeared that MAC was actually offering 6% cash back. Cash back can’t be earned on Pro purchases or combined with discount codes not offered through Ebates. Still, this is better than a kick in the butt. I am definitely more inclined to purchase from MAC now that they’re in the Ebates circle.
Bite Lip Lab is a heavenly place that allows you to create your own customized lipstick for about $40 USD. Bite Beauty is a Canadian brand, so it’s always been a bit of a bummer that they didn’t have a lab in Canada. That’s all changing. They are finally opening a location in Toronto!
Bite Beauty also released a Sephora-exclusive, Toronto-inspired shade of their Amuse Bouche lipstick called GTA ($30 CAD). The Amuse Bouche formula is so pigmented and creamy without being slippery.
Between these items and yesterday’s news that Boxycharm is coming to Canada, it’s a good week for beauty in Canada.
